Focused Water Heater Knowledge Since 1978

We’ve focused on water heaters and water treatment since a father-and-son team founded the company in 1978. This experience gives us direct familiarity with system components, controls, venting, and scale-related buildup.

Our factory-trained technicians service all major brands according to manufacturer requirements and warranty standards. When recommending repair or replacement, we consider the equipment’s age and condition, recurring failures, efficiency goals, and required hot water capacity.

Water Heating for Homes & Commercial Properties

Homes and commercial properties place different demands on water-heating equipment. We provide installation, replacement, repair, and maintenance for both, with recommendations based on how each property uses hot water.

System planning may account for:

  • Residential demand: Household size, simultaneous hot water use, fuel availability, and space constraints.
  • Commercial demand: Peak usage, recovery capacity, equipment access, and higher-volume needs.
  • Existing equipment: System type, visible condition, service history, and compatibility with the property.

What We Evaluate Before Repair or Replacement

A service visit starts with the equipment and reported symptoms. Depending on the system, we may inspect its condition and connections, safety controls, venting, drainage, and installation area.

We evaluate the unit’s age, performance, and efficiency when determining whether repair or replacement is the better path. For replacement projects, we compare tank and tankless options based on demand, available space, operating requirements, and maintenance needs.

Choosing Between Tank & Tankless Systems

A standard tank stores heated water and replenishes it as the supply is used. A tankless unit heats water on demand. The right configuration depends on flow requirements, energy source, installation conditions, and expected simultaneous use.

Local Permit Considerations

According to the City of Brea, standard plumbing permits may be issued over the counter. Requirements vary by project scope, so permit and inspection details should be confirmed for the specific installation.

  • What can I do to prevent leaks on my water heater? To prevent floods and leaks, the best thing you can do is have it serviced annually by a company who has a qualified technician that can come out and inspect it. Typically, they can cite things that signal the beginning of a leak, improper burning, carbon monoxide issues and gas leaks. Those are all things they would check for with an annual inspection.
  • How do I shut off the gas to my water heater? On you gas line going to your water heater, there should be an isolation valve that has a knob that has to be turned.  This is usually a ball valve with a handle that has to be turned 90 degrees.  There are also some that have to be turned 180 degrees.   If you are unsure and this is an emergency situation, you should call the fire department.
  • How do I turn off the water to my water heater? Normally there is a isolation valve on the cold water supply to the water heater.  This valve is located on the above the water heater on the right hand side water line.  This valve can either be a ball valve (has a handle) that has to be turned 90 degrees or a gate valve (has a knob) that has to be turned clockwise.  If you are unsure and this is an emergency situation, you should call the fire department.
  • What brand of water heater do you install? At this current time, we stock Bradford White water heaters.  Although this is what we stock, we have access to any brand water heater should you request a different brand.
  • Why don’t you carry parts for every water heater on your trucks? We try to carry the most common parts for the water heater and this is why we ask for the model and serial number.

  • The equipment: Provide the fuel source, tank or tankless configuration, approximate age, brand, and model number when available.
  • The property: Identify whether the system serves a home or commercial property and describe its typical hot water demand.
